What we keep, and why.

When you vote

Name and email are required. Phone is optional. We store those with the house you upvoted or downvoted, and the time of the vote. One email can hold one vote per house; changing your vote overwrites the last one.

Your name, email, phone, location, and full vote list are visible to the site operator in the admin panel so the boards can be moderated.

Location

If you allow it, we save the device GPS (latitude, longitude, accuracy) with your vote and reverse-geocode it to a city. If you decline GPS, we fall back to an approximate location from your IP. We do this so the boards can show where Hyderabad — and visitors elsewhere — are voting from. We do not use it for ads.

When you only read

You can browse without voting. After you accept the notice, we store one approximate visit location per session — GPS if you allow it, otherwise IP — plus the page path, so we can tell which neighbourhoods are reading. You can still read if you dismiss location permission; we then record that it was denied.

On your device

We keep a privacy acknowledgement and, if you vote, your name, email, and phone in browser storage so you do not have to type them every time. Clearing site data removes them from this device. It does not delete the vote already saved on our servers.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your details. We don’t run third-party ad pixels on these pages. Emails are used to identify a voter, not to send marketing.

Ask us to delete it

Write to suhailroushan13@gmail.com from the address you voted with and we will remove your voter record and votes.
